Academy started its journey from a dream for the destitute and indigent people of the society. This journey was started right after the earthquake of October, 2005, when some districts of Azad Kashmir were entirely smashed. The dream started with an aim to provide child Protection that includes shelter, food, healthcare and quality education. Miri Roshni Academy – United in excellence was established in 2006 to fulfill a long held aspiration to help poor and vulnerable children. During Earthquake it was heartbroken to see young children dressed in rags, barefooted roaming on the streets. Providing a shelter to them and giving them education and instilling good values among them was the basis aim of this project
