Evaluation system of Miri Roshni School​

Our school evaluation looks at a student’s areas of challenges and strengths. Doing just one test or assessment couldn’t provide all the information. Miri Roshni School measures the physical, emotional and academic progress of the students twice a year through different evaluation tools and data collection procedures.

Evaluation report has divided into following area
I. Physical Development
II. Personality Development
III. Social Development
IV. Academic Developments

i). Physical Development:

In physical development class teachers measure the student’s physical development like Height and weight according to students’ age. Physical development also consists of student’s health like chronic diseases food allergies also mention in report as well as student Illness during Reporting Period. all health issues of students are mentioned in area of physical development. Physical activities are also important for child development that’s why MRS recommend physical activities minimum time that a child must be given per day for sports is also part of Evaluation report.

ii) Personality Development:
a) Adaptation of Constructive Behavior
In this area teachers are measuring child’s appropriate behavior through following tools. School also gives those rewards if students show positive behavior and if they are not following instructions they will face consequences like warning letters and fines.

b). Discipline ​(Students are responsible for their own behaviors and actions if they fulfill these criteria’s. Then School gives them rewards and if they are not following than they face consequences).
a. Attendance: ​(All students history related to attendance is mentioned in report like how many presence and absence are there and either it was authorized or un- authorized.)

b. ii). School Time Observation​ ( In this criteria school check the students punctuality as well as school give them rewards consequences warnings)
c. iii). Task Managements
​( All record of students also mention in evaluation report either students are completing home task or not)
d. iv). Cleanliness ​(All records of students cleanliness are mention in report like they are coming in proper uniform or not)

ii). Social Development:

Social interaction is also very important for child development. Miri Roshni School is working on child social development through following steps:

a. Assembly Meeting:​ ( Assembly record is also mention in evaluation report like student’s whole term record how many times he perform in conduction and skits as well as national songs. b. Social Recitation Activities:​ School provides students opportunity to arrange trips and also visits of different historical places for project work and for celebration of different events.
vi). Academic Developments:
​Evaluation Report is divided into two parts:
a). Monthly Progress Report
We are taking assessment after finishing chapter.
b). Examination (Term based)
We are dividing syllabus in two parts after 6 months through papers we are checking students overall academic development.
Academic Assessment Bases
Miri Roshni School academic development is assessed on following levels of Bloom Taxonomy:
Cognitive Domain​: Mental skills (knowledge)
Psychomotor Domain​: Manual or physical skills (skills)
Affective Domain​: Growth in feelings or emotional areas (attitude)

vi). Parents Involvement in Students Development

On the following areas progress parent’s participation in child development is also has a significant role. MRS involves parents in every step of MRS strategic development of students’ development. Their participation is also being monitored and calculated in the student’s biannual progress report.

Parents’ Participation in Child Development:
a. Parent’s participation is very much important in child’s development that’s why in evaluation process parent’s portion is also mention.
b. Communication Response In students diary there is a portion of communication. Parents are responsible to check that portion on daily basis. And percentage of their response is include in evaluation report.
c. Cooperation in Academics Parents are also responsible for check and balance of their child home task. We are giving them rewards if they participate.
d. Attendance of Meeting MRS is conducting meeting with parents according to child condition and MRS check parents attendance of meeting​ ​and it is also mention in evaluation report.
e. Events (student’s costumes​) MRS is celebrating national and international events and we check parents participation related to costumes that parents will have to provide for their children.
